Juggling
Whenever I’m in one of those ice-breaker activities where you list things people wouldn’t know about you, mine looks like this:
• I sang on Prairie Home Companion
• I ride a unicycle
• I juggle
I still juggle. Life.
Kids/Laundry/Conferences/Dishes/Homework/Writing/School-Visits/ Chauffeuring/Activities/Kids.
You have to keep track of all the balls. You find your rhythm, change the pace when necessary, track what’s going on around you. In Life, it’s not all neat and clean. In fiction, we have the opportunity to wrap it all up. What a gift!
Juggling, Life, Writing, Juggling a Writing Life…
They all have so much in common.
What similarities do you see?
